Kiln-Dried Mixed Hardwood Logs
Foxhill Farm supplies and delivers high-quality mixed hardwood and firewood across the south of England.
We place our seasoned hardwood and firewood in stillages or in open piles in the sun for as long as we can, which we then finish off in the kiln. This provides a super dry product (i.e. around 15% MC or moisture content) with minimum usage of fuel for drying. The kiln is powered by logs too, usually tree surgery waste or wood that is of inferior quality to the sales product.
Advantages to burning kiln-dried logs is that less smoke is produced, with a higher heat output, less ash, less corrosion to metal flues or expensive appliances and less pollution due to better cracking of the wood gases.
Local Hardwood Delivery
We are based at Foxhill Farm in Keston and can deliver to a variety of locations across Kent, Surrey and South-London. Delivery is free within 5 miles of BR2 6AN! Thereafter we charge a small fee of just £3 per mile.
